What the client required
Client had the idea to this app after he successfully wrote a popular fake twitter account on a comedy website, pretending to be “Daniel Westling”, nowadays known as “Prince Daniel”. At that time, Daniel was the Swedish royal crown princess’ boyfriend, and now they are married. The fake twitter posts were about the royal family’s everyday life, described in a silly and humorous way.
He quitted writing a couple of years ago, but now he wanted to bring the royal stories back to life again, through an iPhone app.
The concept was extremely simple. The app was supposed to be Daniel’s “diary”, with one new post presented each day. Each posting would consist of a jpg image, so the whole “diary” would be basically an image gallery, with a time restriction that would control the availability of the postings.
What we implemented
We created simple native app where user can see fake posts of Daniel Westling.
Administrator uploads posts to a public FTP server. Application checks for updates midnight. Then when user starts the app it shows the last post read by user. User has access to old posts which are also grouped by months.
